Liposuction – A Specialized Form of Body Contouring
Surgery Details about the Liposuction Procedure
Liposuction is performed by a vacuum-type instrument called a ‘canula’. The incision is small and the canula is inserted then moved around the area to suction fat and other fluids. Upon completion, the area is bandaged and pain medication is prescribed for any discomfort experienced during recuperation.
Your recuperation period may vary, but if you are healthy and maintain yourself well nourished, hydrated and rested, the recuperation period may be slower. You are required to visit Dr. Weinberg post surgery, which will determine your progress and how quickly you can return to your normal, daily activities. Most individuals return to work within 10 days of liposuction.
